Janitor Services

Our regular janitor services are our most popular, simply because when it comes to taking care of all those little (and big!) jobs that need to be done to keep any business premises orderly and hygienic, a janitor is the one who does the job. And the list of jobs that needs to be done can be quite long! Of course, every situation is different, but here’s a list of the tasks that a janitor will take care of:

  • vacuuming
  • sweeping, mopping and scrubbing hard floors
  • removing cobwebs
  • dusting windowsills, shelves, skirting boards and other flat surfaces
  • wiping down tables and desks in workstations, cubicles, conference rooms, etc.
  • sanitising kitchen, canteens and morning tea rooms
  • watering and caring for indoor plants
  • wiping fingerprints off doorknobs, handrails, etc.
  • ·wiping out fridges and microwave ovens
  • sanitising bathrooms, toilets, showers, urinals and washrooms
  • emptying rubbish and recycling bins (and picking up any items that didn’t quite make it in or that overflowed!)
  • topping up supplies of hygiene consumables such as toilet paper, hand sanitiser, paper towels, soap, etc.
  • straightening and stacking tables and chairs
  • removing wilted flower arrangements
  • picking up debris from floors and around doorways
  • general tidying (e.g. cushions and magazines in waiting room areas)

When it comes to taking care of your office and helping prevent the spread of workplace sicknesses, your janitor is your first line of defence!

Computer And Electronic Equipment Cleans

You’d be crazy trying to run a business these days without some sort of electronic device, even if all you’ve got is a laptop and a multifunction printer. Most organizations have a bit more than that, with devices such as interactive whiteboards and touchscreen everything being quite widespread. In order to keep your electronics working at their best, regular cleaning is important. The problems caused by mess and grime on your electronics can range from that annoying fly spot on your screen or the mysterious smear on the glass bed of the photocopier, through to computers malfunctioning because of a build-up of dust inside them clogging the fan, leading to overheating. Getting inside a computer to remove dust safely often requires an expert touch and specialist equipment that can do the job without causing problems with static (which is why an ordinary vacuum cleaner can’t do the job).

The parts of electronic equipment that we touch a lot, whether it’s as large as a touchscreen or as small as the Start button on the photocopier, have a tendency to pick up bacteria and virus spores. This is the other reason why regular cleaning of your electronics is important: it keeps you and your team working as well as the equipment. For day to day cleaning (e.g. when you’ve got a bad cold but you have to share a work station), using antibacterial wipes (not sprays!) before and after you’ve used something can help. However, there’s nothing like a thorough cleaning session.

Classic Cleaners’ computer and electronic equipment cleaners can tackle all the business machines you might have, including:

  • laptops and all in ones desktop computers
  • CPUs
  • keyboards, mice, tracking balsa and other peripherals
  • projectors
  • screens of all sizes
  • photocopiers, printers multifunction machines, scanners and fax machines (does anyone still use a fax these days?)
  • speakers and microphones
  • other specialist equipment specific to your type of business (e.g. measuring equipment)

Bathroom And Washroom Servicing

If there’s one room (or set of rooms) in your workplace that needs more attention than everywhere else, it’s the toilet areas (and the showers, the bathrooms, the washrooms, the urinals… or you can insert some other euphemism like the Small Room). I probably don’t need to explain why in great detail! We’re all human and we all need the loo on a regular basis!

Because keeping the bathroom areas hygienic is so important for the wellbeing of your staff and your customers, we’ve made it possible for you to have someone to come in to just take care of the toilets, separate from any other arrangements you’ve made about keeping the rest of the office clean. After all, there’s quite a lot to be done in the bathrooms, such as:

  • disinfecting toilet bowls and urinals inside and out
  • completely cleaning the toilet from top to bottom, including the flush button
  • wiping out sinks and showers, including removing hair and debris from the plug
  • wiping down countertops
  • cleaning mirrors
  • emptying rubbish bins
  • topping up the soap, the paper towels, the hand sanitiser and the loo paper, as well as vending machines for feminine hygiene products or (in some cases) condoms
  • mopping floors – and doing whatever else it takes to remove the results of overflows
  • cleaning grout
  • wiping down walls
  • dusting fans and other flat surfaces

It might not be the world’s most pleasant job, but it’s got to be done and we’re the team who can take care of doing it for you.

Spring Cleaning

Janitors do a great job at all the day to day stuff, but there will probably be places in any office that don’t need to be seen to quite as often – places like the insides of cupboards and drawers and behind heavy equipment. However, the amount of dust and grime (and worse!) that can build up in these places sometimes has to be seen to be believed.

You probably don’t need to clean, say, the inside of the filing cabinets or behind the canteen fridge every single day or even every single week. However, you probably don’t want to leave them until the day you move out. After all, your company might not be moving out of the building at any time in the near future! This is why we make it possible for you to get your office spring cleaned.

For our spring cleaning services, we’ll sent in a team armed with all the gear they need, and they’ll get into all those obscure places in your workplace from top to bottom. They’ll shift the heavy items out of the way so they can dust, scrub and mop behind them. They’ll remove all the cobwebs from the dark corners and do everything else that needs to be done to combat all the hidden dirt that still has an effect on air quality and overall health in your workplace even if you can’t see it.

Although this sort of cleaning is known as spring cleaning, there’s no set season for doing it in. You don’t have to wait until spring to call in our hard-working team and say goodbye to all the grime

If there’s anything more that you’d like to know about any of these services described above, or about any of our other commercial cleaning services (e.g. hard floor cleaning and polishing), then please get in touch with us at any time you like.
